Homemade meals, playful presentations, positive food experiences

Our approach to food

At Lucky Duckies, we follow USDA nutrition guidelines and aim to minimize heavily processed foods, added sugars, and artificial food dyes. Menus are rotated for variety and sometimes includes ingredients picked straight from our organic backyard garden.

  • Fruits & Vegetables with every meal

  • 2 meals and 2 snacks daily

  • Milk or alternative offered with breakfast and lunch

“Growing up around home-cooked meals, professional chefs, and garden grown ingredients helped shape my appreciation for thoughtful cooking, quality ingredients and the joy food can bring to the table.”

Positive food experiences

I’ve completed coursework focused on how early childhood nutrition impacts moods, behavior and development in young children, and understand how difficult picky eaters can be with new foods. Thoughtful touches like cookie cutter shapes, colorful snack trays, themed foods and visually engaging meals can help encourage little ones to explore new foods and ensure they get the nutrition they need to grow and thrive. We can still have fun celebration treats with a healthier ingredients and far less sugar!
