Our Program

Our Program

  • We serve ages 13 months-4 years.

As children approach preschool age, we recognize that this is an exciting milestone for both children and families! Our goal is to support each child’s growth and readiness for this next stage by working closely with families on the skills and expectations often needed for a smooth preschool transition. We are here to answer questions, share resources, and celebrate each step with you!

  • At Lucky Duckies, children are supported through thoughtfully planned hands-on learning experiences that evolve with them and encourage confidence, creativity, and independence. Our play-based curriculum supports preschool readiness through sensory exploration, process art, early literacy experiences, gardening, dramatic play, and social-emotional learning. Intentional teaching and individualized lesson planning help children build communication skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving abilities, cooperative play skills, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

  • Lucky Duckies Daycare follows an emergent, play-based curriculum grounded in developmentally appropriate practices. Learning experiences are guided by children’s interests while also supporting growth across all areas of development.

Our lesson planning is informed by Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, designed to support the whole child. activities are designed to nurture social-emotional growth, language and communication development, cognitive and problem-solving skills, perceptual/motor development, and positive approaches to learning.

  • We believe children learn best when they are free to use their imaginations to create and express themselves. Children participate in dramatic play, dress-up, music, movement, and storytelling—exploring ideas, roles, and relationships in developmentally appropriate ways. Creative play, expression, and performance are joyful ways to build confidence, language, and social skills.

  • At Lucky Duckies Daycare, children don’t just learn about nature—they experience it firsthand. Our nature-focused approach encourages curiosity, environmental awareness, and appreciation for the world around us. Children explore insects, plants, and seasonal changes through hands-on observation and creative activities that connect learning with real-world experiences.
